Curriculum Centre

The Curriculum Centre is part of the Open Learning Centre located in the Checkland Building and is a specialist resource centre of approximately 25,000 items, broadly related to the teaching of all National Curriculum subjects.

Resources

Our resources encompass a wide range of media types including artefacts, CD Roms, pictures and charts, as well as books and education packs. Our collections of children's books are particularly extensive. All Curriculum Centre resources are for reference only.

Catalogue of holdings

The Centre's catalogue of holdings is available online. This catalogue can be searched by author, title, age-level, media-type or keyword. The keyword index is unusually detailed and has been developed specifically to help meet the needs of teachers for books and resources on themes.

Visitors

Teachers are very welcome to use the Centre's facilities free of charge, either individually, or in groups, but should make a prior booking. A charge may be made to other prospective visitors.
