School Experience Programme

The School Experience Programme (SEP) has been developed by the Teaching Agency and allows those interested in teaching to gain classroom experience in primary and secondary schools. Several of our partndership schools are actively involved in the SEP programme. For further information, please visit the School Experience Programme website.

Absence from placement

If you are absent you will need to inform your placement prior to the start of the school day and inform the Faculty Partnership Office (Email: EducationPlacementAbsence@brighton.ac.uk or Phone: 01273 641041)

When contacting the Faculty Partnership Office  please provide the following details:

  • Your name
  • Course/year group
  • Reasons for absence
  • Anticipated return date (you will also need to inform us on returned to your placement)

Year 1 BA primary and key stage 2/3 assessment forms, handbooks and grading descriptors

The assessment forms are available in an electronic format which is designed to be completed on-screen using Microsoft Word. Click on the appropriate link, open in a new window and save on to your computer. Completed forms should be emailed ( educationprimaryreports@bton.ac.uk ) to reach us by the dates given in the placement handbooks.
