Vicky Cheeseman, Early Years Professional Status (EYPS)
I work in a traditional village pre-school for 2-5 year olds and chose to study the EYPS course at the School of Education because I liked the way the courses were structured.
Gaining confidence
I found that the course tutors helped me with so many things from how to plan an assignment to how to get the best from your reading. The main factors that I liked about the EYPS course were learning the theory behind practice and gaining the confidence to make changes.
Learning and growing as a practitioner
My job now is the manager of a pre-school. We are currently building a new purpose built pre-school that will offer extended services. For my own personal development I would like to find a part-time role that would complement the role of being a pre-school manager so that I can keep learning and growing as a practitioner.
