The School of Education's Centre for Continuing Professional Development offers courses that meet a wide range of students' needs. Most of these are part-time to fit with your work commitments.
These programmes can be developed in partnership with employers and are aimed at those practitioners already working within particular vocational contexts. Emphasis is placed on reflective practice and work-based learning. In addition to these awards carrying University of Brighton validation, many are endorsed by their respective professional statutory bodies, providing national recognition in specific occupational areas.

Post-compulsory Education

These courses are run on campus at Falmer and across Sussex in collaboration with our partner colleges. We offer a part-time route for those who have already begun to teach and a full-time pre-service route for those who wish to move into a career in teaching outside of schools.
