Undergraduate courses
These degrees examine education in its widest interpretation, drawing on many subject areas. Students develop an awareness of the aims and values of education, its relationship to society and a critical perspective of educational theory, policy and practice. Career opportunities
A number of different fields are open to graduates including leisure services and the media, youth and community work, educational management and administration, the museums, libraries and galleries education services, and educational research.
Employment opportunities are also available in a number of non-government organisations concerned with overseas development, environmental change and sustainable development. Graduates wishing to pursue a career in teaching are eligible to apply to for a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
