International students

The School of Education welcomes international students from across the world and have previously taught students from many countries including Barbados, China, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Pakistan, South Africa, Kazakhstan and Jamaica.

Our courses

We provide both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees that international students are eligible to study, including courses in general education that enable students to explore the nature and aims of the subject in a broader context.

Your career

Although the Education BA and MA do not offer qualified teacher status (QTS), our graduates go on to have a range of careers in teaching and related education, social and caring professions including:
• Publishing

Support for international students

English language support

We offer free English language tuition to all our international and EU students in their first year of study.

'Self-access' language learning facilities

We also have a number of 'self-access' language learning facilities, which we encourage students to use to further develop their skills. These are located in the Open Learning Centre in the Checkland Building on the Falmer campus.
