Pedagogy and curriculum

We focus on creative and critical practice in teaching to develop our understanding of the relationship between the key questions of ‘What?’, ‘How?’ and ‘Why?’ in pedagogy, professional knowledge and curriculum-making in different contexts.

Current work

This includes research in creativity, professional knowledge, digital tools for learning and teaching, transformative pedagogies and e-learning, learning to be ‘ready, willing and able’ to teach, learning and teaching in subject domains, and curriculum-making.

Research methods

We use primarily qualitative methodologies, including narrative approaches and life-history methods.
