Foundation degrees

Foundation degrees are two-year, career-focused courses developed in close consultation with employers and professional bodies. At the University of Brighton we offer a range of foundation degrees in subjects including broadcast media, radio and television production, early years education andsubstance misuse intervention. Top-up degree option

On successful completion of your foundation degree you may choose to go straight into your chosen career, alternatively you can top your foundation degree up to an honours degree by completing a further year of study either at the university or at one of our partner colleges.

One of the ways in which we support widening access to higher education in the region is by validating foundation degrees taught at our partner colleges. The University of Brighton is a major provider of this kind of course with over sixty foundation degrees currently available in this way.
