If you are interested in hiring the Sallis Benney Theatre you will need to download the Conditions of Hire. This document should answer most of the questions you might have but please feel free to call us on 01273 643010. Please complete a Hire Enquiry Form and email it to the address on the form. All of the documents below are subject to change. The capacity of the theatre is up to 272 seated and 400 standing. |

| General Information |
The Sallis Benney Theatre was built in the 1960s
as part of the then Art College and is now part of the University
of Brighton. There is wheelchair access with six designated spaces, and all
house facilities are fully accessible. There is a maximum capacity
of 272 seated or 400 standing. In addition to staging
the University Cultural Programme and lectures, the theatre can
be used to stage concerts, workshops, film and conferences. Catering services are available on
request including a licensed bar. The theatre is
situated in a central location five minutes walk from the train
station and a well served bus route. It is available for hire seven days a week
subject to availability. |

The
gallery can be used as an alternative meeting space or for functions and is available
for hire whilst certain exhibitions are on.
