Our students in the community

Public, private and voluntary businesses across all sectors can benefit from the involvement of enthusiastic students keen to learn new skills, many of whom are studying courses relevant to those of local businesses such as computing, business, social science and media production.

Community Development and Participation module

Many of our students undertake voluntary work as part of their accredited course curriculum by selecting the Community Participation and Development module. Some students also decide to volunteer purely through personal choice. Our award winning volunteering scheme, Active Student, gives gives community, voluntary, public sector and not-for-profit organisations the opportunity to benefit from motivated students looking to gain work experience and skills from voluntary work.
