Our computing (IT) facilities and media services are supported by the Information Services department

Library computer open access pool room
Our Library computer pool room is located in a spacious room accessed via the library on level 2. It contains 20 work stations with internet access and basic Microsoft package. The machines have networked printing to a black and white printer within the room.
There are two computers available in this room with specialist software from the teaching rooms. This allows students access to the software out of class hours.
Opening hours during termtime
- Monday–Thursday 9am-8pm
- Friday 9am-5pm
- Saturday 9am-4pm
Opening hours during vacation may vary and are advertised on campus.
Level 6 computer open access pool room
Our computer pool room on level 6 contains 32 work stations with internet access and basic Microsoft package. The machines have networked printing to two black & white printers and a colour printer. The printers and the print credit machine are kept in a room within the computer pool room.
There is a number of computers available in this room with specialist software from the teaching rooms, which allows students access to the software out of class hours.
Technical support is normally available Monday to Friday from 8.30am-5pm. At other times there may be a limited support service available.
Please note - there will be no technical support available on Monday 23rd July as staff will be attending a conference.

Accessible computers for students with disabilities
There is a computer set up for disability access in both the library and level 6 computer pool rooms. Both these PCs have electrically height-adjustable desks and monitors mounted on moveable arms. Software is installed on both machines for visually impaired users. The PC in the library computer pool room also has further disability access equipment including keyboards and pointing devices.
