Audio-visual equipment
All audio-visual equipment is handled by our technicians, who can be found in their office on level 6, room 6.29. At least 24 hours' notice is required to book extra equipment. We cannot guarantee to be able to set up equipment without 24 hours' notice (minimum).
Staff registration
Staff who need to be registered for access to the computer systems should see our ICT technician, who can be contacted via the office on level 3 or the technicians' office on level 6. Registration can take up to one working day at busy times, so please ensure you arrange this before you need to use a computer.
Student registrations for non-University of Brighton students
Processing of non-University of Brighton student registrations will take up to five working days. Helpsheets on how to self-register using Activate are available in the computer pool rooms on level 6 and the library.
Printing
All staff PCs are connected to the nearest laser printer in their office.
Laptops
Staff are welcome to bring in their own laptop to use. The ICT technician will check them before you can log onto the university network to make sure updates and anti-virus software is installed to a satisfactory standard. Once checked, the ICT technician will either assist with upgrading your machine or help to set the laptop up for access to our network and internet connection.
