Care leavers

The University of Brighton has been awarded the Frank Buttle Trust Quality Mark in recognition of our commitment to helping care leavers through university.

The University of Brighton provides eligible care leavers with

  • a student support and guidance tutor throughout your course
  • guaranteed accommodation for the whole of your first year, including vacations
  • £1,000 study grant

To be eligible for these benefits, you usually need to be under the age of 25 and have been in local authority care for three months or more since the age of 14.
