Alumni success

Former students from the Faculty of Health and Social Science have contributed to the success of the school by going on to perform outstandingly well in industry, academia and the public sector.

A number of former students have also revisited the school to advise on course and module development and to offer support with mentoring current students and work placements.

Each year the university carries out a destination survey which investigates and analyses the numbers of the university's graduates entering employment or further study, six months after completing their course. Last year 90 per cent of graduates from the University of Brighton had entered employment or further study.

A second destination survey is done after three-and-a-half years and the last survey carried out in 2010 showed that 96 per cent of the university’s graduates were employed or undertaking further study, with over 75 per cent working at 'graduate level' i.e. undertaking work requiring degree-level skills and understanding.
