Student Finance Day radio phone-in
University of Brighton
Monday 14 November 2011

Student Finance Day on Monday 14 November 2011 was a national day dedicated to explaining the 2012 changes to student finance in England. At the University of Brighton a phone-in was held on the university radio station. Students were able to listen online and ask questions about student finance, applying to university and what to expect from university life. The phone-in is now available to listen to as a podcast. Our panel included Stuart Laing (Deputy Vice-Chancellor), Helen Abrahams (Student Services) and Scott Roedersheimer (Admissions).

You can listen to the phone-in by visiting www.brighton.ac.uk/studentfinanceday.

The university recognises that going to university is one of the biggest decisions that a student will make and wants to ensure students, parents, teachers and advisors understand how the new student finance package works and hope that our participation in Student Finance Day will help towards this. The day is organised by the Independent Taskforce on Student Finance Information which is headed by Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert and many universities in England are taking part.
