TREat (Therapy, Relaxation and Eat) is a group which has evolved to enhance staff development by arranging quarterly events to promote health and wellbeing.
By drawing on the expertise of staff within the university the TREat Group has encouraged administrative staff to reduce stress through a programme of events designed to offer exercise, artistic or therapeutic sessions. Typically the class lasts about an hour followed by an informal light lunch.
Post-event feedback confirms that TREat sessions all help participants to:
- Meet and strengthen links with colleagues
- Extend staff support networks across the faculty
- Feel valued
- Share best practice
- Recharge batteries and forget stress
- Enjoy working together outside the usual office setting
- Try something new
