Aims:

To enable students to:

  • Develop a depth of knowledge and understanding of the complexity of staging events and the importance of effective project planning
Learning outcomes:

By the end of the module students will be able to:

  1. Analyse the complexity of the services and operations that require effective planning in the staging of an event
  2. Identify the key phases of effective project planning
  3. Evaluate a range of project planning techniques and how these can be applied to a range of different event scenarios
  4. Demonstrate the ability to select and apply effective project planning tools to a specific event
