| Aims: |
The aims for this module are set into the context of the QAA Framework for Higher Education Qualifications and they relate to the SEEC level descriptors for level 5 study. This module will enable students to develop skills, knowledge and understanding in the area of systems & control and CAD/CAM within the context of Design and Technology. It will also engage students in developing an electronic portfolio. |

Overview of systems and control as a subject area; Designing using PIC technology CAD/CAM Electronic portfolios |
| Learning and teaching strategies: |
Contact time will be a mixture of practical and critical workshops and tutorials - both tutor led and tutor supported Non-contact time will be used by the students to work on their design and make assignment. |
