International study at the University of Brighton

Visas and accommodation

Moving to a new country for study abroad comes with the need to arrange visas, accommodation and your finances. We can help you.

The right visa advice

We have two international student advisers who are specialists in immigration and visa regulation for study. For study abroad programmes of less then six months, you can travel on a tourist visa to study. For programmes longer than six months, you will need a study visa.

Whichever study abroad programme you would like to take, you can contact our free advice service to help you at visas@brighton.ac.uk.

Accommodation during your stay

Most study abroad students will be able to stay in the halls of residence at Falmer in Brighton.

The apartment-style housing has six to eight ensuite rooms and a shared living area and kitchen. Students have access to all facilities on campus, including the library, recreational and catering services. All rooms have free internet access and insurance.

The campus is served by trains and buses into Brighton and to other university campuses.
