Personal academic and English language support
To assist you to achieve success in your academic studies and your enjoyment of your time at university, we will provide you with:
- a personal tutor who will provide you with one-to-one support
- free English language tuition throughout your first year of study
- free study skills available from the academic study kit (ASK) website.

Work experience opportunities
You can apply your new academic knowledge to real world situations with the work placements and projects that are offered in most of our undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Careers advice and skills development
During your time at the university, you will have the opportunity to work with the Careers Service to:
- to develop a career plan to support your career and personal development
- work with a mentor in our mentoring scheme, Momentum
- volunteer in the local community through our ActiveStudent volunteering programme
- receive entreprenuership training with our network entrepeneurship network, BeePurple.
