Networked file storage

If you are working on campus you have access to two networked file storage areas.

One is your 'University Folders', where you have 1 Gbyte (that’s just over 1000 Mbytes) of space on the university’s networked file servers to store your work. Your University Folders are secure in that they are backed-up every night by Information Services staff and only you can access them.

The second is 'Departmentdocs', which is a place where you can share files with colleagues in your own faculty/department. Files on Departmentdocs are also backed up regularly.

See the links below to find out how to access/find your networked file storage areas from staff computers.

For more detailed information on using these services, including how to recover files you have accidentally deleted, you should refer to the documents below:

Using your networked university folders - a guide for staff: 961 Word pdf
Using departmentdocs to share files- a guide for staff and research students: 256   pdf
