As a member of staff you will have an account on one of the university's  staff Exchange mail servers.

The Exchange servers don't just store email messages - you also have facilities for managing your calendar, your contacts lists and your tasks (todo lists). You can share your information (such as calendar events) with selected colleagues.

You can access your university email from anywhere inside and outside the university, which has an internet connection.

*The  Exchange servers are currently running Microsoft Exchange 2010 server software.

Click here for a short video with a couple of tips for using staffmail with Exchange 2010.

Information Services runs training courses to help you use your email and calendar facilities more efficiently - follow the link to Training and Workshops.

See SPAM and nuisance mail for information on Message Labs, a service introduced in June 2010 to protect you from SPAM
