Saving your work
unifolder.jpg

If you are working in an open access computer pool room, you need to save your work regularly - at least every 15 minutes!

IMPORTANT:  Never simply save your work to the hard disk of the computer that you are using, as all files saved in this way are deleted when you log off.  Your work will be lost unless you save it to another device (usb pen drive, CD etc), or to your networked file store,  called 'My University Folders'.

All students have a set of University Folders and this is the simplest place to save your work because you can access it from any computer in the university.

Back-up before you crack-up: You should also copy your work to other external devices such as a  writable CD, or a usb pen drive.

Follow the links below for more information.
