Welcome to Information Services!
These web pages will help you to find out about the services we provide and how to get the most benefit from them. As a new member of staff there are a few areas we would like to draw your attention to.
Get activated: Before you can borrow library items, or use university computers, you must activate your library and computer accounts . This will provide you with a UniCard, a university username and password, an email account and other essential services.
If you are a member of teaching, or research staff, you will have an Information Adviser and a Learning Technology Adviser assigned to you. It is their job to ensure you receive the support you need to carry out your work. They may contact you during your first few weeks at university, but if not, find out who they are and introduce yourself to them - find out more about Information Advisers and Learning Technology Advisers.
Look out for details of our ICT workshops - see link to Training and Workshops - these short courses can help you quickly get up to speed with new systems, or find out a few things you've been needing to know for some time. The courses are free for all staff and researchers!
