EndNote is a software programme that allows you to store and organise
your references and create bibliographies or insert references into
documents in whichever style you require (Harvard, Chicago, MHRA, APA
etc.)
The EndNote desktop software programme is installed on the
University network and is available on all the computers in the
university pool rooms and libraries. You will find it in 'applications'
on the desktop. In addition there is a free web version EndNote Web which can be used on any computer.
EndNote desktop version
This version is recommended for staff and researchers as it has more
functionality. The University of Brighton licence allows for the
installation of EndNote on any University-owned computer. Staff need to
contact the Service Desk or their departmental IT technician for
installation. If you want to buy a copy of EndNote for your own computer, see information on buying EndNote .
EndNote Web
Endnote Web is available free to all staff and students registered at
the University Brighton as part of our subscription to EndNote. It
offers most of the facilities of EndNote with a few exceptions and a few
extras. The most important benefit is the facility to access your
EndNote Web library from any computer with an internet connection. You must register to use EndNote web using a University of Brighton computer - see instructions . Note
that you will need to renew your registration after one year. The web
version is recommended for students or anyone working away from the
campus as it can be accessed from any computer
