The PMO team will bring greater coherence and rigour to the planning, management and control of IT projects in all parts of the institution. Key activities of the team will include:

  • Be effective Project Board, or Project Team members

  • Explain the framework and how to use the guides and documents
  • Support project managers in starting their projects
  • Provide mentoring support and guidance
  • Promote  good practice through the Project Managers’ Network

b) and in its programme management role the PMO :

  • Supports the IT Programme Board in assessing projects for approval
  • Supports the IT Programme Board  in monitoring projects progress
  • Carries out interventions arising from monitoring
