Where can you print from? Print
Printing for students

You can print your documents from all open access computer pools, from libraries and from some student residences.

When you select Print from an open access pool room, or library, your documents will wait in a queue until you are ready to collect them You then ‘release‘ them using your nearest Printer Release Station – this is known as spooled printing.  Note that documents will stay in the queue for 48 hours and will then be deleted. If you have not released your document by this time, you will not be charged for it!

The tables below show which rooms you can print your documents from; where the printers are and what type of printers they are (A4 or A3 size; black & white or colour). Some printers allow double-sided printing.

PCS stands for Printer Credit Station. You can top-up your printer account in the places where these letters are shown.

What's a Printer Release Station? When you use a spooled printer your document is sent to a print queue. When you are ready to print it, go to your nearest  Printer Release Station and and 'release' your document. It will then be printed on one of the printers nearby. After 48 hours the document will be deleted from the print queue. If you have not released it, you will not be charged.

If you have any questions about using our printers, you can send an email message to
