Where are the Printers? Print
Printing for students

There are networked printers on every campus, in or near libraries and open access computer rooms.

When you select Print from an open access pool room, or library, your documents will wait in a queue until you are ready to collect them You then ‘release‘ them using your nearest Printer Release Station – this is known as spooled printing.  Note that documents will stay in the queue for 48 hours and will then be deleted. If you have not released your document by this time, you will not be charged for it!

The tables below show the type and location of printers (A4 or A3 size; black & white or colour). Printers allow double-sided printing for A4 b&w only.

PCS stands for Printer Credit Station. You can top-up your UniCard account in the places where these letters are shown or by using your credit/debit card .

What's a Printer Release Station? When you use a spooled printer your document is sent to a print queue. When you are ready to print it, go to your nearest  Printer Release Station and and 'release' your document. It will then be printed on one of the printers nearby. After 48 hours the document will be deleted from the print queue. If you have not released it, you will not be charged.

If you have any questions about using our printers, you can send an email message to
