Desk loan by Sarah Ison

Each library has a Desk loan collection. Books and other items in Desk loan are in high demand and so have a very short loan period. This is usually two hours but check with your home library for details.

Items in desk loan can be booked using the Library Catalogue.
To do this, search for the item in the catalogue then click the dark blue 'Request' button.
You will need to enter your library card number and then continue with the instructions for making a booking. You may have 3 desk loan items issued to you at any one time. This is in addition to your normal loan limit.

Please note that because desk loan items are in high demand, fines are charged for their late return. The current rate per item is £1.00 per hour or part of an hour.

Adding material to desk loan
If you are a member of staff and you need to make books, journals articles or other material available in desk loan, contact your Information Adviser
