Adaptive equipment Print

We provide adaptive equipment in the libraries and computer poolrooms such as height adjustable desks and adjustable monitors.

photo of student using adjustable monitor arm Each library and suite of open access computer rooms has an electronically operated height adjustable desk. These can be particularly helpful for wheelchair users, or people with back problems, RSI or other mobility problems.

The desks are very easy to operate with touch controls. Each desk has a computer and light touch, fully adjustable monitor arm. Most of the desks have a Windows PC on them. The height adjustable desk at Grand Parade has an Apple Macintosh computer.

We have a small number of ergonomic keyboards and mice that we can lend to you to use in our open access computer pools. Ask the staff on duty if you need to make use of them.

Low-level photocopiers are available in the Aldrich, Falmer and Queenwood libraries.
