To set up your device for eduroam, follow the
If you have already used eduroam with your
device you may not need to make any changes to the settings. Just
find the eduroam network and enter your eduroam username and password.
Important: Your eduroam username consists of your university username followed by the @ sign and the domain name of your university, in the form username@home-site - for example email@example.com - Brighton students - You should not include 'uni.' even if this appears in your email address
You may be able to set-up your laptop from home, before you come to university. Visit the UoB set-up page of the eduroam website and see whether they have a set up file for your computer.
If you are a member of another university, please visit the eduroam CAT service, or your home site, for instructions.
If you are already on campus:
If you have one of the devices listed below, click on the appropriate link to download a file that will automatically set up your device for the eduroam wireless network. Don't forget to select eduroam wireless service after your device has been set up!
If you are on campus, but not already connected to the internet, you can access the same set up files from the UoB wifi set up page. Simply select this service from the list of available wireless services on your device and open your normal web browser (eg IE, Safari, Firefox). You may already be using the UoB wifi set up service to read these instructions.
Don't forget to select eduroam wireless service after your device has been set up!

and the name of your home domain, eg
use the password you use to access services at your home site

make sure you turn off the option to
'automatically use my Windows logon name'
Mac OS X and iOS extra info:
if asked, accept the radius.brighton.ac.uk security certificate
Android extra info:
Identity is your eduroam username as above; Leave anonymous identity blank, or enter your eduroam username again; EAP type is PEAP; Phase 2 authentication is MSCHAPV2

Most devices remember the information you give them when you set up a
wireless connection. This is useful because it saves you having to enter
the details each time you connect, but it will cause problems if you
