Summer refurbishment work at St Peter’s House Library, University of Brighton

St Peter’s House Library will be undergoing some refurbishment during the rest of the summer vacation to create a new social learning space on the ground floor, and to accommodate the computer poolroom.

Unfortunately this work will necessitate the closure of the library for up to 4 weeks from Monday 3rd August. We hope to open again before the end of August, and we will be offering services to University of Brighton staff and students to help tide you over this period: extra books may be borrowed before 31st July, and we will offer a phone-in request service  - further details will be available in the libraries and online shortly.

Call the circulation desk on 01273 643220 for the latest information or for any other queries, or check studentcentral

Hello Katie

Sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by this unexpected delay. We are expecting to open tomorrow, but do call the library issue desk to check before making a special journey.

Meanwhile, if you have further enquiries or wish to arrange to collect books, you should also call the library issue desk on

This is insanity! It's September now and I was depending on the library being open again because I need to do some work for my dissertation, a first draft has to be in in September. I've looked for info about requesting books but this is the most up-to-date article i can find! can anyone tell me anything??
