Minimal wireless technical info Print

We are unable to provide instructions for all devices, but the following information should help you to answer some of the questions you are asked when you set-up your device to connect to the university's wireless network:

Wireless set-up technical details for all devices:

Name of network:  University of Brighton

Security:   WPA2

Encryption: AES

Authentication:  PEAP/MSCHAPV2

Security certificate:  Add Trust External CA Root

Username:   your university username

Password: your university password

 

Tested on an Android 2.3.3 Smartphone (LG-P500) with the following settings:

EAP Method PEAP

 

Phase 2 authentication None

CA certificate (unspecified)

User certificate (unspecified)

 

Identity (your university id)

 

Anonymous identity (empty)

 

Password (your university password)
