The Aldrich Library has a large pool room on the ground floor with Windows PCs and a small number of Apple computers. There are also open access computers on all floors of the library which are available when the main library is open.
Mithras Annexe has five computer rooms predominantly used for teaching.
Cockcroft has a small number of Windows PCs in room 501.
But what about the Computer Suite in Watts? The Computer Suite on the second floor of Watts is not an open access pool room. It is managed for and by the School of Computing, Engineering & Mathematics (CEM). For more information on these facilities, see the CEM web page.
Access information:
- Disabled parking bays at the front of the Cockcroft building and Mithras House.
- Small lift available by Cockcroft building entrance - may be unsuitable for wheelchair users.
- Larger lifts located at the far (west) end of the building - library is on the mezzanine floor.
- Lift available within the library.
- Access to the Aldrich Library computer poolroom, outside of library opening hours, is by a side entrance in Queensdown School Road. You will need your UniCard for entry via the access control system.
- Wheelchair accessible toilets on each floor of the library - ask staff for a passkey.
- Mithras Annexe has a wheelchair accessible toilet on the ground floor and a lift to all floors.
- Out of office hours, wheelchair users may only access the ground floor of Mithras Annexe.
