eduroam set up instructions Print

If you have not used eduroam before, or if you are having problems connecting, please check the information on this page.

 

If you have already connected to eduroam with your laptop or mobile device you should not need to make any changes to the settings. Just find the eduroam network and enter your eduroam username and password.

You will find step by step instructions in the documents linked to below. If you are already familiar with setting up connection to wireless networks you may find the information in the table below enough:

service name (SSID): 
 eduroam
security type:
 WPA2 Enterprise
encryption type:
 AES
security certificate:
 radius.brighton.ac.uk
eduroam username:
 use the username provided by your home institution followed by the @ symbol and the name of your home domain, eg
eduroam password:
 use the password you use to access services at your home site
Windows extra info:

  make sure you turn off the option to

'automatically use my Windows logon name'

Mac OS X and iOS extra info:
 if asked,  accept the radius.brighton.ac.uk security certificate
