On Friday 28 June  2013, Information Services staff will be attending a one day training event. All  libraries, with the exception of the Health Sciences Library at Eastbourne DGH,  all media centres, and some open access computer rooms will be closed for the day.

The Service Desk will be open to receive enquiries. However, please note that there will be no technical staff available to respond to calls on that day.

Arrangements have been put in place to ensure that we can support any critical incidents.

Read on for details of which services will be closed and which will be open.

Eastbourne

• Health Sciences Library at Eastbourne DGH will be OPEN from 0830 -1700
  
• Queenwood library will be CLOSED
  
• Books may be returned via the Book Drop bin  near the Media Centre - access to this area by UniCards only.
• Queenwood media centre will be CLOSED
• Queenwood open access computer room will be OPEN from 0900 to midnight - access by UniCard only
  
• Aldro open access computer rooms will be CLOSED
• Hillbrow G47 computer room will be CLOSED
  
• There will be no IS technical support at Eastbourne for the day

Falmer

• Falmer Library will be CLOSED
  
• Falmer Media Centre will be CLOSED
  
• Computer rooms within Falmer library will be OPEN from 0900- midnight. Access by UniCard only
• Computer room in Mayfield House will be CLOSED
  
• There will be no IS technical support at Falmer for the day

Grand Parade

• St Peter's House library will be CLOSED
  
• Computer suite at Grand Parade main building will be OPEN from 0900-1700 - access will be by UniCard only
• Grand Parade Media Centre will be CLOSED
  
• There will be no IS technical support at Grand Parade for the day

Hastings

• Hastings campus library will be CLOSED
  
• Hastings media centre will be CLOSED
  
• Hastings computer room (6th floor) will be OPEN
• There will be no IS technical support at Hastings for the day
  

 Moulsecoomb

• Aldrich Library and computer room will be CLOSED 
• Books may be returned vis the Book Drop bin outside the library entrance.
  
• Mithras Annexe computer rooms will be OPEN from 0800-1900 - access by UniCard only
• Watts Media Centre will be CLOSED
  
• The Computer Store will be CLOSED
  
• Reprographics will be CLOSED
• There will be no IS technical support at Moulsecoomb for the day

Central computing services such as Exchange mail, studentcentral, university web sites and business systems will be running as usual.

The Service Desk will remain open to log enquiries but there will be no technical support available to attend these calls on that day.  Normal vacation service will resume on Saturday 29th June.
