Video conferencing project Print

We are currently developing a high end video conferencing service between Eastbourne and Brighton as a proof of concept which can potentially be rolled out to other sites.

The equipment is being purchased and tested. We are using Polycom Eagle Eye CX7000 voice activated video conferencing equipment.

We are currently carrying out room surveys to plan out the installation.

In parallel we are building a Microsoft Lync infrastructure which will provide video conferencing and virtual classroom facilities from peoples' desktops and mobile devices.

This project is expected to be completed this academic year (2012-2013).
