Exciting news about the Grand Parade Computer Suite

Over the winter vacation some major changes have been introduced to the Computer Suite in the main building and we are pleased to announce a complete update of the PCs and the Macs (which are now running Mountain Lion OSX).

The Training Rooms

These have each been refurbished with the latest 21” iMacs and Hitachi widescreen projectors offering higher resolution. The software available includes Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection and Apple’s Final Cut Pro X for video editing.

The Audio Visual Zone

Video editing area now boasts fast 27” iMacs, with Final Cut Pro X, iLife (which includes iMovie, iPhoto, and iTunes), and Creative Suite 6 Production Premium. This Adobe package includes Premiere, After Effects, Flash, Encore, Photoshop, and Audition amongst others. While HD camcorders using flash memory are standard now, miniDV tape is still in use and so we will provide players for uploading video.

The Illustration Zone

This area now has new A4 scanners, 27” iMacs and offers Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Premium which includes Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Fireworks.  iLife is also included.

The Internet/Photoshop/Office Zone

This new area offers MS Office 2011, with a limited version of Adobe CS6 with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and access to the web is also available.

The Internet/Office Zone

This Zone is ideal for internet browsing, using MS Office general study, and email.

The PC Zone

These new pcs offer MS Office for general study, internet access and email.

The Bookmark

In addition we now have a handy ‘bookmark’ devoted to the Computer Suite, with information about opening times, contact details and available software.
