This week sees the launch of CResT, a team of researchers in the School of the Environment at the University of Brighton.
The Construction Research Team’s (CResT) mission is to provide robust research to increase the economy, efficiency and effectiveness of construction procedures and processes to improve the sustainability of the built environment.
This will include raising the profile of the School of Environment, in particular CResT and its activities, applying for research grants, producing publications and providing the opportunity to network with industrial partners and practitioners.
The team’s first event, The Mei Foo Experience is on Tuesday 23 March at 7.30pm in Mithras House at the University of Brighton on Lewes Road.
The guest speaker for the event is Mark Ashton BSc(Hons) MHKIE, the Project Manager for the Main Contractor of the HK$1250 million construction project for the West Rail Station in Hong Kong. Mark will be delivering a lecture on his experiences in the management of this complex project.
