Learn to speak Mandarin Chinese in ten weeks

27.09.2006

In response to the growing importance of China on the world stage the university has introduced a ten-week Mandarin Chinese course for people wanting to broaden their business, study or leisure horizons. The new evening course is run by highly qualified and experienced Chinese native teachers with close links to local Chinese communities and industries.

Lecturers include Ms Hong Lu who has been a language teacher for 18 years and holds an MA in language teaching, and Ms Lingning (Nancy) Zeng who has an MA degree in Media Assisted Language Teaching and manages a large scale project enabling Chinese community members to improve their education and employability. The course provided by the School of Languages at the university is run in partnership with the Chinese Educational Development Project.
