Warring robots will be taking over the university's School of Engineering on Wednesday 14 March. As part of the National Science and Engineering Week a robot spectacular, led by Ian Watts formerly of BBC's Robot Wars, will be held in the university's Cockcroft Hall.

At the same time a host of other activities will be taking place all over the university. You could be one of the lucky few to fly the university's flight simulator. The light-aircraft body, was rescued from a crash, stripped, and provided with computer equipment to turn it into a ground-based working replica of the actual aircraft.
Companies will also be able to find out about electronic, software and smart systems expertise in the School of Engineering and how projects can be funded, for example through Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.
