Following today's earlier evacuation of the University of Brighton's Falmer campus the situation has now been resolved. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit have identified the device as a used artillery shell which has now been removed.

All classes and business will be resumed as normal tomorrow and students are now being admitted back into the halls of residences.
