University open days

Published 28 August 2009

Students considering higher education are being invited to open days at the University of Brighton.

Prospective students, parents, carers and friends can explore facilities and learn about courses during three undergraduate open days.

Hanna Cesek, Student Recruitment Officer, said: “There will be talks on the full range of subjects on offer, opportunities to discuss content with staff and there will be forums on student life at university.

“In addition, there will be sessions for parents and carers on financing higher education, student accommodation and support.

“It’s the best way to explore where you could be spending three or four years, to see the city, explore the campus facilities, find out about courses and to chat to staff and current students.”

Student Sarah Coombes said: “It was the best way to get a feel for the ethos of the university and to decide whether it was the right place for me. I also really valued the chance to get honest opinions from current students and be able to explore the city while there.”

The open days are on 10 October for the Eastbourne campus, October 17 for the Moulsecoomb (Brighton) campus and 24 October for the Falmer (Brighton) campus. Booking starts 1 September.

Art and Design open days will be held on 25 November and 2 December, with booking starting 12 October.
