Gok comes to Brighton's fashion show

TV stylist Gok Wan mingled with the models as he reviewed designers of the future from the University of Brighton.
The host of How to Look Good Naked presented a prize at the university's fashion show which was hosted by the Faculty of Arts where designers Julien MacDonald and Barbara Hulanicki, founder of Biba, studied.

Gok said: "Brighton has always been a creative space and it works creatively as well. If you want to do fashion, textiles or design then Brighton is like no other city in the country."
Designs at the fashion show he said were "unbelievable", and there were textiles that "designers would die for".

Designs by Verity Brown, BA(Hons) Fashion with Business
Gresham Blake, Brighton-based fashion tailor to the stars, celebrated the tenth anniversary of his graduation from the university by presenting a prize.
The Fashion and Textiles Showcase was hosted by the Faculty of Arts and presented by Dr Catherine Harper, head of the School of Architecture and Design. She thanked the showcase sponsors, Burgess Hill-based Icon Live, which supplies jewellery to fashion retailers.
Carly Read, managing director of Icon Live, presented the Icon Live Best Business Plan Award to Sophie Penn (MDes Textiles with Business Studies) and Danielle Parker (BA(Hons) Fashion with Business Studies).
Gok presented the Textile Portfolio Award on behalf of Barbara Hulanicki to Emma Loughton (MDes Textiles with Business Studies).
Finally, Gresham presented the Fashion Catwalk Collection Award to Caitlan Price (BA(Hons) Fashion Design with Business Studies).
