Live radio phone-in

Published 10 November 2011
Event 14 November 2011

Students from across the south are being invited to a live radio phone-in to answer questions on university student finance.

The phone-in, on the University of Brighton radio station Burst Radio, is at 3.30pm on 14 November. It forms part of Student Finance Day, a national event dedicated to explaining the 2012 changes to student finances.

Students and their parents can listen online and ask questions about student finance and what to expect from university life. The phone-in will be available online afterwards too.

Answering questions will be the university's Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Stuart Laing; Helen Abrahams, Student Advice Service Co-ordinator; and Scott Roedersheimer, Admissions and Enquiries Officer.

A university spokesperson said: "Going to university is one of the biggest decisions that a student will make and we want to ensure students, parents, teachers and advisors understand how the new student finance package works."

The day has been organised by the Independent Taskforce on Student Finance Information, headed by Martin Lewis, from Money Saving Expert.
