Head of Student Services, Karen Jackson, said: "Achieving an external quality assessment for Student Services shows students, staff, and internal and external partners that we deliver high quality information, advice and guidance which is reviewed, evaluated and developed on an ongoing basis. For this set of revised standards we had to show not only what we do, but how we measure success and the impact and value of our work.

"I believe this type of assessment enables both the service and the university to have justified confidence in what we provide to students. It also gives staff (despite the hard work) a real opportunity to reflect on what we are doing and to continuously improve. It was a fantastic team effort and thanks to all the staff and students who took part in the assessment."
