Professor Hal helps the BBC

Published 1 October 2012

A University of Brighton professor has helped the BBC with the making of a new series for children on how the body works.

Hal Sosabowski, professor of public understanding of science, acted as science consultant for Operation Ouch! – a 13-part CBBC medical series fronted by two doctors who explore the world of medicine and biology.

Part filmed at the University of Brighton, the series begins 3 October. Professor Sosabowski said: "It's a fascinating show and although it is being aired on CBBC I'm sure adults will enjoy it – I'd recommend it for everyone."

Operation Ouch is fronted by identical twins Dr Chris and Dr Xand van Tulleken. The two doctors explore their way through the fascinating world of medicine and biology, showing and explaining the awesome things our bodies can do.
