If things aren't right
I'm finding it hard to settle in
Coming to university is a big step for all students. Maybe you are returning to study after a few years away from education. Perhaps your home is hundreds or thousands of miles away and you're living independently, away from your family and friends, for the first time.
There are lots of new experiences to deal with, all at once. You may expect this kind of experience to be exciting and enjoyable but it can also be hard to manage.
You may be wondering whether you have done the right thing. Lots of students feel like this, especially in the first term. Most people stay but a few change course or leave.
There are people across the university who can help you. Whether you need emotional, practical or academic support, help is at hand.
