Vice-Chancellor's welcome

I am delighted that you have chosen to study at the University of Brighton.

Students at the University of Brighton are part of a creative and enterprising international academic community, constantly learning, experimenting and innovating. It is a community that will value you, your experience and personal perspective and will support you throughout your course and into your chosen career.

We take pride in the broad range of our undergraduate courses and our extensive partnerships with professional associations and accrediting bodies, which guarantee the relevance and quality of our awards.

The university is based on campuses in Brighton, Eastbourne and Hastings. We also have students at partner colleges across Sussex. The city of Brighton and Hove and the towns of Eastbourne and Hastings offer excellent sporting, cultural and social opportunities which I hope you will enjoy. The Students' Union also organises entertainment and sporting activities and manages a range of clubs and societies as well as voluntary work with which you can become involved.

I join with all my colleagues in welcoming you to the University of Brighton. You can be sure we shall do everything we can to help you get the best from your chosen course of study.
