What’s on:
Talks and course tours
At the open day you will be able to attend talks and course tour focusing on your particular subject area of interest.
Subject talks in Sallis Benney Lecture Theatre
These talks will introduce you to the University of Brighton and the Grand Parade campus and will highlight the strengths of the student experience here in Brighton. Academic Programme Leaders will outline specific course content and structure, placement and career opportunities and provide information on admissions criteria and the selection process.
These talks are extremely popular and, in the interest of fairness, tickets will be limited to one guest ticket per student.
Course tours: an opportunity to meet students and staff, visit facilities including studios and workshops and view students’ work. These will follow directly from Sallis Benney Theatre after your talks.
When you book your place, you also choose which subject session to attend. If you wish to attend for more than one subject talk or open day you will need to book for both. Guests are welcome at our open days, but as places are limited we can only allow one guest per student on talks and tours. Each subject session starts in the Sallis Benney Theatre, please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time in order to register for the day.
Student Funding and Accommodation in Brighton
This session will provide information on the national student funding packages for 2013 entry and the bursary and scholarship opportunities available at Brighton, the different options for student accommodation and the university's allocation policy for halls of residence accommodation for first year students. Places in these sessions will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
