Education units

The education units in Pharmacy and Bioscience within the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Science are dedicated to the advancement of teaching, learning and assessment in the health and biological sciences. Both units aim to:

  • Investigate issues and topics relating to teaching and learning.
  • Identify and disseminate good practice.
  • Foster discussion and research into teaching and learning in the school.
  • Develop guidance on the implementation of faculty and university level policies that relate to teaching and learning

Research themes of both units are:

  • Assessment of knowledge, skills and competences of health care professionals
  • Experiential learning
  • Development and evaluation of creative teaching methods

A recent quote from a new member of teaching staff:

Group members

We work in conjunction with other colleagues from around the university and partner colleges. Members of our group regularly take part in the Annual Learning and Teaching Conference.
